Let the teaching of Christ live in you richly. Use all wisdom to teach and instruct each other by singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Everything you do or say should be done to obey Jesus your Lord. And in all you do give thanks to God the Father through Jesus. Colossians 3:16-17
Our People in Fellowship
The most important lesson God wants us to learn on earth is how to love. Life is about God's love for us and our love for other people. God is love and it is in loving that we are most like God; love is the foundation of every command He has given us: His laws are summed up in a single command: "Love one another" John 13:34.
God wants His family, the church, to be known for its love more than anything else. Jesus said our love for one another is our greatest witness to the world. He said, "all people will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:35
The best use of our life is to give and show love. We experience the love of God among friends and neighbors as we gather for worship, fellowship, and the sharing of His Word.
Various congregation-wide fellowship events and the following groups provide an opportunity for nurturing loving relationships, support, and prayer:

Our Youth
Faith formation is a lifelong process. It begins at the font at the time of baptism and never ends. Through fun, study, service and worship, the youth of St. Peter Lutheran are encouraged to become disciples who follow Jesus in every part of their lives. Youth groups and classes, arranged by age and directed by dedicated volunteer adults, nurture young people in their faith in Jesus Christ.
Our mission is to teach God's Word and Luther's teachings in such a way that young people will be drawn into a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Catechism or Confirmation class is for 7th and 8th graders. It is scheduled to resume in September and follow the schedule of the school year. Confirmation allows the youth an opportunity to further develop their faith and deepen their relationship with God and with Jesus as their Lord. At the end of the two year process, they have the opportunity to affirm before the congregation and before God that this is their faith. Those interested in attending classes should contact the Pastors.
We can't help but to feel the excitement of our youth as they grow in faith through learning and fellowship.

Women
The Women’s Fellowship, the WELCA of St. Peter Lutheran, meets the second Thursday of every month at 10:00 a.m. The meetings usually feature programs of interest to women universal, programs about the church, the community, mission projects, and charitable organizations, and conclude with coffee and refreshments. The women are involved in all work of the church. They find a need in the church or in the community and work toward meeting that need. All women are warmly welcomed to join them!
Church Council
The Church Council are our leaders who provide direction, financial accountability, vision and wisdom for our congregation in our life together. Each council member is elected by the congregation, with term limits to rotate in new leadership. They donate hours of dedicated work to the church. They share with the congregation the God given talents and experience they developed in their professional life, their spiritual life and their family life.
All together, we are One.
As Lutherans, we believe our purpose as people of God that we live out our calling to Christ in the way we help our neighbors and share the love of Christ with them. "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4:10. Through Fellowship and Stewardship, we can meet the needs found in our church and community. By working together in the church family, we get to know God better and God's love for us. When we take that love to others, our faith grows into a passion. Our relationship with others grow as we hear and follow the call of Jesus. We serve outside the church walls by helping those in need, in our work place or in our neighborhood. We serve inside the church walls by teaching, mentoring, assisting in worship, serving behind the scenes on leadership teams and in many other ways.
